Well-sharpened tools are the key to hand tool success. In this hands-on class, participants will develop effective sharpening skills. Our focus will be on utilizing a quick and easy sharpening routine that provides consistent results. We will sharpen hand planes, scrapers and chisels. We will also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various abrasives used in sharpening and a variety of accessories such as honing guides to aid in the sharpening process. Students will have time to sharpen and use their tools under the guidance of the instructor.
