Marcus Reid apprenticed with me right out of high school. I consider him a great friend and now a mentor.

He is an amazing artisan. Whether he building furniture, making string instruments or turning wood, he excels.

As a teacher he sets lofty goals for the students, but then builds you and inspires you so you can achieve great things. Five students with minimal or no turning experience came to the Joiners Bench this past week and built Windsor stools in three days.

The legs, rungs, stretcher and seat were all turned at the lathe. In addition, the components were drilled and dry assembled.
