Several years ago I saw a classic shop stool at a friend’s home. I liked the simple, yet elegant style and knew that the stool would be a nice addition to my workshop. I also relished the chance to make it by hand because of the challenging joinery.

After making a few of the stools myself, I offered the project as a workshop at The Joiners Bench. Four skillful and passionate woodworkers joined me in January for three full days of enjoyable woodworking and skill development. Take a look below at some of the photos.
